Profile Summary

I am a Chartered Financial Planner at Attivo, where everything we do is centred around you. By listening carefully and understanding what you want from your future, I help create bespoke financial and life plans tailored to your needs and aspirations. I joined Attivo in 2018 and have worked in Financial Services for several years. As a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and holder of both the Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, I bring a high level of technical expertise to every client relationship. My qualifications include advanced studies in Personal Tax and Trust Planning, Pension Transfers, Investment Planning, Retirement Income Planning, and the Financial Planning Process. My focus is on helping you plan for a secure and comfortable retirement through clear, straightforward advice.

Who Fraser McCaslin Works With

I work with individuals and families who want a clear, structured plan for their financial future. Many of my clients are preparing for retirement and want confidence that they can maintain their lifestyle long term. I also support professionals and business owners who require tailored strategies that consider tax efficiency, investment growth, and future income needs. They value expert guidance and a long-term advisory relationship. Additionally, I help those looking to organise their financial affairs, including inheritance planning and retirement income strategies, ensuring their wealth supports both their own future and that of their loved ones.

Investment Philosophy & Approach

I believe financial planning should start with your life goals, not products. My approach is built around understanding your objectives, motivations, and preferences, then aligning your investments and strategies accordingly. I focus on long-term, diversified, and tax-efficient solutions designed to grow, protect, and preserve your wealth. Clear communication is key, so you always understand how your money is working for you and why decisions are being made.

Fees & Charging Structure

Fraser’s Lifestyle Financial Planning service follows a structured four-stage process, with fees varying depending on your individual needs and the complexity of your situation. All fees are agreed in advance and only applied with your consent. The Introductory Meeting is free of charge. This is an initial conversation to understand your circumstances and determine whether we should proceed. The Discovery Meeting, where your bespoke Lifestyle Financial Plan is designed and produced, has a minimum fee of £2,000, although this may be higher depending on the level of work, complexity, and accountability involved. The Establishment Meeting, where recommendations are implemented and coordinated with third parties, typically costs between 1% and 2% of the asset values being advised on. For Ongoing Service, the standard charge is 1% per year of the asset values being advised on. This ensures your plan remains maintained and optimised as your life and financial needs evolve. Payments can be arranged in different ways, including deduction from the assets being advised on, depending on what is most suitable for you.
